Last year while visitng friends in Boston, I spotted these Ilse Jacobsen boots on the subway. I loved that they were rubber boots with ties and how chic they were for rubber boots! I was so excited when I was contacted by Lines of Denmark to collaborate with them, Ilse Jacobsen and a local shop that carries the line: Rough and Tumble.
First impression: the boots are fleece lined and super cozy. However, the ankle is a little big on me, so they felt different to walk in at first. Once I spent the day in them they became way more comfortable.
A fellow Portland Instagrammer, Gretchen Powers, also received a pair, so naturally we met up to take photos. We drove to Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth-one of my favorite spots.
This collaboration aims to grow the Ilse Jacobsen line and support Rough and Tumble as a local shop. Ilse Jacobsen was founded by a woman 25 years ago. These signature rainboots are natural rubber, not plastic, and handmade in Europe. They have EVA soles and working gussets so folks of all calf sizes can wear them and are lined in cotton & wool fleece.
